The MAF will be funding close to RM200,000 for underprivileged children from six (6) orphanage homes and three (3) welfare centres which include Rumah Wawasan Sitiawan (Perak), Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Sanathana Dharma Ashram Sitiawan (Perak), Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Alam Damai Cheras, Cornerstone Homes Semenyih, Persatuan Kebajikan Sri Saradha Dewi Illam, Rawang, Pusat Kebajikan Kalvari Johor, Persatuan Kebajikan Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Seri Cempaka Pantai Dalam, Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-anak Setiawangsa & Asrama Penyayang Nur Iman Setapak to shop for essential school supplies like uniforms, school bags and stationeries at various AEON stores & AEON Big outlets during this school holiday.
Besides running charity events and community services under AEON, MAF also places the importance on raising funds through Malaysian AEON Foundation Fund for the purpose of lending a helping hand to the poor and needy. With the activation of the Online Donation System, which is an essential fundraising tool, the foundation will now be able to accept real-time donation from nationwide.
The system is linked to AEON’s main website and is able to provide payment options in the preference of donors, including credit card & debit payment. Besides encouraging the public to contribute for good cause, the system can accept one-time contribution as well as recurring contributions from the same donor with just a click away.
“Over the years of MAF operation, the response we received from the community has always been good. This foundation is truly close to the heart of the company and our staff. We hope the Online Donation System will enhance the donation successful rate by removing traditional trivial donation process, subsequently drives more charity income for the Malaysian AEON Foundation Fund,” said Nur Qamarina Chew, Managing Director of AEON CO. (M) BHD. & Vice President I of Malaysian AEON Foundation.
