MALAYSIAN AEON FOUNDATION DONATES RM500,000 TO FIVE GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS THROUGH AEON CHARITY RUN 2025

Putrajaya, 3 August 2025 – The Malaysian AEON Foundation (MAF) donated RM500,000 to five government hospitals, with funds raised through the AEON Charity Run 2025 event, held at Dataran Wawasan, Putrajaya. The collected funds will be channelled to the MAF initiative, AEON KASiH program. This program aims to assist the B40 group who need help with medical costs or treatment.

The five Government hospitals that received the contributions are Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital Selayang, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Hospital Serdang, and Hospital Ampang.

The AEON Charity Run is an annual event organised by MAF as a recreational and charitable activity. The inaugural event was held last year at Anjung Floria, Putrajaya. This year’s edition saw the participation of 2,400 runners in the 5km and 10km fun-run categories. The flag-off was officiated by Ng Eng Kiat, President of the Malaysian AEON Foundation. Also present to grace the donation presentation ceremony was Dato’ Sri Suriani Dato’ Ahmad, Secretary General of the Ministry of Health.

According to Ng Eng Kiat, “The Malaysian AEON Foundation is the organisation responsible for implementing corporate social responsibility programmes for AEON Group Malaysia. The AEON Charity Run is more than just a running event. It carries a greater purpose. The contribution made today is intended to help ease the burden of treatment and medication costs for those in need. This initiative also aligns with the Government’s Agenda Nasional Sihat Malaysia by the Ministry of Health Malaysia, which aims to promote a healthier and more prosperous Malaysian society through the cultivation of healthy living habits.”

Runners and visitors to the event were also treated to a variety of engaging activities, including Zumba sessions, a Kandora performance, and exciting lucky draws which offered prizes worth approximately RM100,000, with prizes including a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone, 55” LED TV, Dyson vacuum cleaner, iPad, mountain bikes and many more.

Through the support and contributions from every ecosystem of the AEON group and the public, Malaysian AEON Foundation implements financial aid and support initiatives such as educational needs, medical aid, community projects, natural disaster relief, and support programs to help low-income groups find employment.
