Kuala Lumpur, 24 February – AEON CO. (M) BHD. or AEON proudly announces its 40th- anniversary celebration and the launch of its roadshow, ‘Senyum Tour’, at AEON Alpha Angle, Wangsa Maju today. The Senyum Tour promises exciting discounts, special promotions, and a myriad of engaging activities for shoppers throughout the year.

Since its inception four decades ago, AEON has been revolutionising the retail landscape in Malaysia through its diverse range of products and exciting shopping experiences. Commencing from 1985, AEON has grown significantly, evolving from a modest operation with 300 employees to a dynamic organisation that now employs more than 10,000 people. In February 2024, AEON’s market capitalisation surpasses RM1.5 billion, affirming its position as a premier choice in Malaysia’s retail landscape.

According to Datuk Iskandar Sarudin, Chairman of AEON CO. (M) BHD., “The 40th- anniversary celebration holds immense significance for AEON as it reflects our enduring commitment to innovation, excellence, and customer-centricity. We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone in collaboration with 400 of our esteemed business partners, who have played a pivotal role in shaping AEON’s success over the past four decades. We are committed to uphold the highest standards of quality and service, ensuring that AEON continues to be the preferred destination for shoppers across Malaysia.”

Datuk Iskandar Sarudin, who is also the President of Malaysia AEON Foundation, says, “As part of AEON’s steadfast commitment to corporate social responsibility and giving back to the community, the Malaysian AEON Foundation has made donations of RM20,000 each to four deserving organisations.”

The launch event witnessed a series of engaging activities that brought together the community of Wangsa Maju, including a Zumba session, the Go Green Agroz Tour – an indoor

vertical farm in AEON Alpha Angle and a balloon drop ceremony where the grand prize winner walked away with two Universal Studios Beijing entry tickets.

The Senyum Tour is scheduled to kick off on 27 April at AEON Mall Bukit Tinggi, promising an unforgettable experience for shoppers of all ages. Customers can enjoy special deals during the Senyum Tour at AEON malls including special merchandise highlights, 40% off selected items, 40 super deal items, RM40 flat price deals, buy 4 free 1 promo, 400 freebies, and Happy Hour every 4 hours.
