BUBUR LAMBUK COOK-OUTS HELD SIMULTANEOUSLY AT 27 AEON MALLS

650 people came together to distribute 30,000 bowls to the public

With the holy month of Ramadan in full swing, AEON CO. (M) BHD. joins in the celebration with an extensive bubur lambuk cook-out.

The community event was held at all 27 AEON MALLs nationwide simultaneously on 2 June at 22 AEON MALLs and 9 June at another 5 AEON MALLs. A total of 650 volunteers from the local communities and from AEON CO. (M) BHD. came together to prepare and hand out 30,000 bowls of bubur lambuk to AEON shoppers on a first-come-first-served basis.

More than just an event to commemorate Ramadan, it is also AEON CO.’s initiative to foster better relationship with the local community, and to extend gratitude to their customers.

Mr Poh Ying Loo, Executive Director of AEON CO. (M) BHD., elaborated, “The success that AEON enjoys today is largely due to the fuel that keeps us going – the local community. We take pride in being a brand that strives to keep community matters at heart. We create social opportunities to improve rapport with our customers and where we can help to boost community life, we do. The bubur lambuk event is one of such initiatives we have carried out. Plus, it makes a fun Ramadan activity for everyone!”
