Malaysia’s leading retailer, AEON CO. (M) BHD announced the top three winners of a short film competition themed – ‘Share Your Favorites Moment with AEON’, which was held between 28th April – 13th June 2014. The competition was organized in conjunction with AEON’s 30th Anniversary Celebration and also to provide an avenue for customers to share their nostalgic stories with AEON.

The first prize, AEON shopping vouchers worth RM9,000 for 30 months, was won by Adriana Binti Adam from Johor. Her story was simply heartwarming and compelling, whereby she almost delivered her 3rd child while shopping at AEON Tebrau City. “Thanks to AEON’s staff speedy response and alertness, I made it in time to the hospital close by and delivered a very healthy baby boy” said Adriana.

Second prize winner, Sakila Binti Mohd Yahya who is also from Johor, met her husband for the first time at AEON Melaka on a blind date. “It was love at first sight,” said Sakila who walked away with RM6,000 AEON shopping vouchers for 20 months.

Rohila Binti Hamid from Kedah was the third prize winner, and walked home with RM3,000 AEON shopping vouchers for 10 months. Besides the top three winners, to mark AEON’s 30th Anniversary Celebration this year, 27 participants have also received AEON shopping vouchers worth up to RM8,100.

“Our philosophy is enriching lives, and through this competition, we learnt their stories on how AEON has stirred their soul, inspired people to take a leap and some even changed their lives forever,” said Nor Laila Mohd Samin, Senior Manager Corporate Communications & Branding of AEON CO. (M) BHD at the event.

Nik Amir Mustapha, Anugerah Skrin 2013 award winning producer & director of ‘Kil’, is the Executive Producer of 30-minute AEON short film titled Hani-Bee, which is scheduled to air on 15 September, at 10.30pm on TV9.

The winners were selected by a panel of judges from AEON and Media Prima group. The winning scripts were selected based on originality, cheerfulness and humour. All the 30 prize winners have also received a three-year AEON Membership Card.
