AEON CO. (M) BHD. (AEON) launches the ‘Kempen Beli Barangan Malaysia’ or KBBM 2021@AEON in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP).

The ‘Kempen Beli Barangan Malaysia’ is a comprehensive initiative by KPDNHEP that involves a collaboration between the public and private sectors. Its aim is for the people to benefit through special prices of the local products offered. It certainly will be very helpful especially in the current situation where many consumers are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic which leads to lower purchasing power.

According to Shafie Shamsuddin, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of AEON, “We are very grateful for being part of the ‘Kempen Beli Barangan Malaysia’. Apart from helping the people, the implementation of this campaign also fosters the spirit of patriotism and love for local products. The benefits derived from the feeling of love for quality local products will lead to higher demand and increased productivity, thereby further boosting the country’s economic activity. The chain reaction will also create job opportunities. Through employment and stable income, it allows for a harmonious and progressive living and a sustainable community.”

As a strategic retail partner, we provide full cooperation and will support with the best marketing and sales activities – offline and online – to ensure the success of the campaign,” said Shafie.

AEON will also use its digital platform to promote the local products. Additionally, other mechanisms that will be enforced in conjunction with KBBM 2021@AEON are the offering of business lots for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), promotion through social media such as FB Live, and special discounts during the festive season.
