AEON Continues Its Sustainability Journey Through Exclusive Customer Loyalty Programme

AEON CO. (M) BHD. or AEON continues its sustainability journey by embarking on the latest exclusive customer loyalty programme in collaboration with Tupperware Brands Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Tupperware).

In its effort to continue promoting environmental sustainability, AEON launches the latest exclusive loyalty programme by bringing in Tupperware’s eco-friendly home products for the enjoyment of its customers. Through this latest AEON loyalty programme, customers will have the opportunity to own attractive Tupperware eco-friendly home products by redeeming them with stamps that can be collected when shopping at AEON.

According to Shafie Shamsuddin, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of AEON, “In continuing with our journey to becoming nature positive, AEON endeavours to integrate sustainability into our core business activities. We are very grateful to present this exclusive loyalty programme to AEON customers and to move forward hand in hand, strengthening our commitment towards sustainable living.”

“It is made sweeter as it is in collaboration with Tupperware, one of the world’s most established and reputable companies committed to eco-friendly products. We are committed to create higher environmental awareness and further promote the importance of environment protection to our customers and our ecosystem,” Shafie added.

“During the programme period, we will also give special discounts to those who bring their own Tupperware containers to buy food at our stores,” Shafie concluded.

Guided by its “Customer First” philosophy, AEON consistently provides what is best whilst understanding the needs of its ecosystem, from products sold on the shelves to customer loyalty programmes. The customer loyalty programme this time is special because apart from having the opportunity to own beautiful Tupperware eco-friendly home products, it also promotes “waste less, save more” and “go green” initiatives Through this programme, customer will be given 1 stamp (for non-members) and 2 stamps (for AEON members) for every RM30 that is spent in AEON physically whilst for purchases made via myAEON world app, will be given the e-stamps.

To begin with, upon collecting a minimum number of stamps (20 for physical stamps for non-member, 15 for AEON Members and 8 for e-stamps), customers are entitled to exchange them to buy Tupperware range of products.

The programme runs from 24 September 2021 to 23 January 2022. The final day for product redemption will be on 6 February 2022.

All items offered in this programme are made of eco-friendly high-quality plastic grade containers from Tupperware such as eco water bottles, lunch boxes and canisters. Special festival collection sets will also be available for Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year.

The launch event held at AEON Taman Maluri Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur earlier today was enlivened by TV, radio personality and celebrity chef, Abang Brian with many fun activities and giveaways.

Also present at the event were Shafie Shamsuddin, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of AEON; Tsutomu Motomura, Deputy Managing Director of AEON; Lily Loo, Managing Director of Tupperware; Daisuke Maeda, Managing Director of AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad, together with the senior management of the mentioned organisations.

The event was broadcasted on Facebook Live Commerce Platform, AEON Retail Malaysia.

Besides Abang Brian, other social media influencers including DJ Lin, Dr. Ezani Monoto, Putri Shanis, Fizi Ali, Sangeeta Krishnasamy and Dr. Soo Wincci also played their parts to support this sustainable project.

This exclusive loyalty programme that promotes environmental sustainability to its customers is in line with AEON’s effort to uphold the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals; focusing on Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12) and Life On Land (SDG 15) signifying AEON’s commitment to protect the environment, biodiversity and ecosystem.
