115 GOLFERS TEE OFF FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Malaysian AEON Foundation’s golfing event raises RM 112,000 for the underprivileged

Charity was the name of the game as a total of 115 AEON Group Malaysia business partners took to the course at the 3rd Malaysian AEON Foundation Charity Golf event, raising RM 112,000 along the way.
With an intention of amassing funds to help improve the living conditions of the underprivileged, the half-day golf session held today at Tropicana Golf and Country Resort also saw the attendance of Guest of Honour, YBhg Dato’ Mohd Azizi bin Mohd Zain, Datuk Bandar Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya. He was joined by Chairman of AEON CO. (M) BHD. and Malaysian AEON Foundation President, YBhg Dato’ Abdullah Mohd Yusof; and Executive Director of AEON CO. (M) BHD., Mr Poh Ying Loo.
“Today is a lot more about than just trying to hit a hole-in-one. We at Malaysian AEON Foundation take our commitment to aid the underprivileged seriously, and this is our fun approach to achieving that goal. We are grateful to have our business partners join us on this charitable journey, and even more thankful for the donations that have been made. We hope this contribution will help give the needy an improved quality of life,” commented YBhg Dato’ Abdullah Mohd Yusof.
On top of the funds raised through the game, AEON CO. (M) BHD. business partner KOH & I SDN BHD sweetened the deal by adding another donation of RM 10,000 to the tally. During the event, MAF hand over a donation of up to RM 20,000 each to three children homes. Rumah Perlindungan Persatuan Kebajikan Islam, Rumah Kanak-Kanak Angel and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Selangor Klang – that were present that evening.
Following the conclusion of the event, golfers and guests were treated to a lunch at the resort’s ballroom. In return for their participation, winners of the game also got to walk home with exclusive prizes such as exclusive crystal trophies, oversize spider putter, voice caddie golf GPS band and 2 units of latest iPhone 7 that are worth more than RM 20,000.
